Izzy graduated from the University of Oxford with a first-class BA in Music and is currently an Ensemble Pianist at the Royal Academy of Music supported by the Principal’s Scholarship. Izzy specialises in song repertoire and is particularly interested in Iberian art song due to her Spanish and Catalan heritage.
Izzy’s musical journey began as a chorister at Chester Cathedral followed by her study of piano and singing at Chetham’s School of Music. Izzy has subsequently sung with many choirs including Merton College Choir, Schola Cantorum of Oxford, Magdalen Consort of Voices, and Keble College Choir, Oxford. She has appeared as a soprano soloist with Company Carpi, Instruments of Time and Truth at Keble Early Music Festival, and in the Early Music Celebration at Liverpool Cathedral.
As a collaborative pianist, Izzy has performed at the Royal Festival Hall, the Holywell Music Room, and recently made her debut at the Oxford International Song Festival. Izzy has featured as both a soloist and accompanist with the Southbank Sinfonia and was selected to commemorate composer Egon Wellesz in a lecture recital with the University of Nottingham. Izzy has played in a range of masterclasses including those lead by Maxim Vengerov and the Castalian String Quartet. She is currently studying with James Baillieu and Joseph Middleton.
